The masterful UKRAINIAN NATIONAL FOLK DANCE ENSEMBLE OF P. VIRSKY are coming to perform in Greece for the first time. On the 24th September at the Athens Herodes Atticus Odeon, the Greek audience will have the opportunity to attend a performance that reminds of a fairytale, a masterful spectacle, a mosaic of movements and magical choreographies featuring 100 performers and 2.000 costumes.
The Virsky ballets are considered to be a universal phenomenon. In addition to their superb artistry, impressive rainbow of colors and magnificent choreographies, their dancers seem to have surpassed the laws of gravity. Having been recognized as the precursors of break-dancing, the Virsky ballets possess a highly specialized technique and style which are established by their Dance School for adults and junior dancers with a tradition of 100 years. The Virsky have won international critical acclaim, and have received major awards and admiration for their performances.
The spectacular Virsky ballets, which provide the most significant cultural ambassador of Ukraine abroad, will appear for only one night in Athens.
The performance is organized by the PANHELLENIC UNION PARAPLEGIC AND PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED (PA.S.PA) on the occasion of the International Day of Transportation, and is under the auspices of the Geek Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport and Networks.
